How To Uninstall Roxio

The first thing you will need to do before you begin to get rid of Roxio is disable all of the background processes that are unneeded. You will have to do this by typing “msconfig” into the Run utility. Once you have done this click on the Disable All button and press Apply. Once you have done this make sure you reboot your computer for the changes to take effect.

Secondly you will need to locate the windows Add or Remove programs area. This is found in the windows Control Panel. The remove Roxio you must:

1. Wait for the area to populate and then highlight Roxio, or any of its associated programs.

Once you have got rid of all of these files you will need to remove them from your computers recycle bin. This will make sure that they are fully deleted. During the next step you will have to edit the system registry. This can be very dangerous if you remove the wrong file. 1. Go to the start menu and locate the Run utility. Type in “regedit” and then press OK.

2. Expand the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder.

3. Double click the Software folder and highlight Roxio Folder.

5.Follow the same process and delete the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder.

Once again, I cannot stress enough how careful you should when deleting files from the system registry. If you can’t find the folders or don’t know what your doing then either use uninstaller software or get a professional.
