Camo leopard buffet awareness day is the brainchild of a group of PR professionals based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK.
Inspired by a long-winded and somewhat confusing conversation, combined with their love of sausage rolls and general finger food, the first annual Camo leopard buffet awareness day is taking place on Friday 24th February 2017.
It was launched on 17th February 2017, with the following message, which was shared with all the staff in their work studio:
“In celebration/desperate need of a distraction from the enduring seasonal affective disorder of January and February, the PR team has invented a whole new awareness day. In these turbulent times, many people aren’t getting anywhere near their recommended intake of buffet food. A recent poll has also found that some don’t actually own a single item of clothing that is either camo or animal print. To raise awareness of these tragic facts, and to do what we can to address the issues, next Friday, 24 February, is camo leopard buffet awareness day. Help us to mark CLBAD, by wearing something camo or animal print and (most importantly) bringing in some food for a GR buffet. See you there in solidarity, comrades! (Basically, let’s all bring in buffet food on Friday and stuff our faces for the day.)”
Team members not able to attend the main event are still encouraged to take part, sharing their camo leopard buffet antics on social media, using the hashtag #CamoLeoBuffet
